Farmers markets for Halifax. There are lots on this site now. It is really worth a browse. Currently it is quite slow finding the markets so wait a few seconds for the list of markets to appear.

Local Food and Drink

Co-op Food - Greetland

8-10 Stainland Rd, Greetland, Halifax HX4 8AD, UK – 01422 315667

Good store with a varied range of produce but some products not stocked like the larger co-op's. Friendly and helpful staff with adequate parking available.

Conveninent for the late opening hours. A small amount of parking available, though I've never struggled. The ATM inside is a bonus, though it has been out of order a few times. This is less of an issue since Tesco express opened nearby and has one outside.

Gaggia UK - Caffe Shop Ltd

Unit C, Old Power Way, Lowfields Business Park, Elland HX5 9DE, UK – 01422 372554

Machine broke down after a service and they were fantastically efficient in collecting, mending and returning machine. Think that it is quieter in the summer so machines are processed quicker. Nearly all the staff are friendly and helpful and want to do their best. Hope you get one of them.

Travelled 40 miles to visit them and it was well worth it for the friendly, expert advice. You pay a little more than from online shops but the experience and the knowledge that you are buying the right machine for your needs make it worthwhile. Special offers worth looking out for.

Brosters Farm Shop

Haigh House Hill, Huddersfield HD3 3SZ, UK – 01422 376117

Always busy, honest, home cooked food with an emphasis on the breakfast styles of things, flexible and very decent menu with a wonderful view over the Calder Valley towards the Pennines, Halifax and Brighouse. Very good service from all the waitresses especially a tall one with long wavy hair called Charlotte (I think....) veggie options available and plenty of secure free parking. Worth a visit. Quite a decent farm shop selling it's own produce from off the farm itself.

Not a bad place for breakfast but could be better. On every visit we ask for well done bacon but it always has to be sent back as the bacon still has a significant amount of fat on. On the last occasion we were informed that they had run out of poached eggs but we could have fried or scrambled.....very confusing but had us amused.

BigBarn has a totally brilliant map for West Yorkshire showing all the local food producers. So if you want to know where your food comes from look no further!
The Kent & Sussex Tea and Coffee Company was established 26 years ago when the Smith family returned from India, where for two generations we had been involved with tea. The website contains information about all the different teas and coffees supplied together with regular updates on new additions to the range.
Coffee, tea, chocolates and pretty china and good gift ideas.
Wine and other drinks from Tesco online
